Though the case is solid, and the feel is great, it causes a horrific echo for the person calling you. Search the web and you'll see what I mean. After thinking the phone was defective or we had a bad connection, I finally did research and noted that many cases cover the secondary mic at the top of the phone. This case does this and causes the echo. After removing the case the echo went away. I would suggest not buying this case.

After reading the reviews on this product I decided to purchase it despite the issue of not being able plug headphones in all the way. If you read the other reviews then you will see that some folks could not get their headphones to plug in all the way resulting in poor connectivity to the jack. Considering myself to be fairly mechanically inclined, I took a VERY sharp drill bit and slowly bored out the size of the 3.5mm headphone jack portal in the case to a larger size. Do this by hand, NOT with a power tool, and of course remove the phone from the case and you should not have any problems. Do note however that this will likely void the warranty on the case so make sure you really want to do it. Honestly you cannot really tell that any alterations have been made unless comparing an unaltered case side by side. Hope this helps those that are struggling with their headphones not fitting in properly.

This is a great case. Good protection, doesn't add too much bulk. As others have said, the silicone lining adds nice cushioning in case of drops, the hard outer shell adds impact protection, while the silicone grips on the sides improve handling while not making it too difficult to retrieve from a pants pocket. And of course, the kickstand is a really neat little feature.
The Casemate website states they've revised the design so that it no longer covers up the second microphone (the one up top next to the headphone jack). I got the revised one, so I haven't experienced the echo problem reported by others who must have received the original version.
I was hesitant to get the white color, but I saw the black one in the AT&T store and thought it was a bit gaudy in gloss black; plus, it was a fingerprint magnet. The white is much better in this regard.
As for those who have complained that the case doesn't fit their phones, it's because they have either the AT&T Skyrocket (SGH-i727, an LTE 4G phone), the Sprint Epic Touch 4G, or the T-Mobile Hercules (SGH-T989) Galaxy S II, all of which are larger and feature 4.52-inch screens. This case is for the International (SGH-i9100) and AT&T "3.5G" (non-LTE) (SGH-i777) Galaxy S II phones, both of which have 4.3-inch screens. Casemate offers versions of this case for the larger (4.5" screen) phones:

A co-worker will probably be ordering this same model (Pop!) case for his Epic Touch 4G after seeing mine on the AT&T version of the phone. Highly recommended.
